Bakker Produce Inc was started as a small family business in the 1940s in Highland IN and has steadily grown over the last 60+ years into a full service Wholesale Produce distributor servicing all of the greater Chicago, Springfield, Rockford, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis areas.  Still a family owned business, we now employ over 60 people at our Griffith IN warehouse where we receive and redistribute fresh fruits and vegetables to grocery stores, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and institutions.  We also carry a full line of dairy products, frozen goods, and frying oils to meet your food service needs.  We are Northwest Indiana’s only distributor of California wine grapes, and wine making supplies.    Please check out our complete fruit basket selection which can be found by clicking the Fruit Basket link on the left hand menu.
